Spanish Queen (free) 02:38
Look at that girl with the hazel eyes, legs so good they could euthanize! Voice so sweet, it's just like a song, makes you want to just sing along. Your lips, your body, your hips (they sway), when I watch you girl my legs give way. To be with you I want nothing more, love me girl... I am your whore. Spanish Queen, yeah you know that I've been fantasizing about the eyes that I've seen. Spanish Queen you know that I want the legs you move and the hips that you flaunt. Spanish Queen with your hair so smooth, my heart explodes every time that you move! Spanish Queen, come on now be my girl... without you babe I can't face the world! Your voice it does drive me mad, I want to tell you the thoughts I've had: I love you babe and you know it's true, Hello goodbye and how are you? Awkward pausing and misused words, I love you so... or so I've heard. Was your letter all a lie? I'm yours forever unless you're some other guy's. Yippeeeee! Look at that girl with the hazel eyes, legs so good they could euthanize! Voice so sweet, it's just like a song, makes you want to just sing along. Your lips, your body, your hips (they sway), when I watch you girl my legs give way. To be with you I want nothing less... I've been with you, now I see what's best.

*Hyena yelp, repeat as necessary* Nous sommes á feu, commes les dangeroux, commes les animaux dans mon voisinage Nous sommes desatisfiment, nous sommes tout le monde, nous sommes desatisfiment, nous sommes tout le monde All your friends are boiling, try not to get in their way. Nuke the gay whales in the name of Jesus! Tout votre amis sont une tonneu d'huiles, le feu desatisfiment brulure tout le monde

You Made Me Asexual (free) 03:50
Despite past feelings now you try to convince her you're not the bad guy. Endless lies and synchronized crimes, downtown beauty and perpetual lies. You were my favourite picture... before it began to desaturate. You were my favourite colour, before everything turned to grey. A favourite song can only last so long before it begins to feel wrong. You know each verse with sickening detail, the chorus wears thin and the feelings derailed. Now you're trying to decipher why it is that you despise her. No matter what you can't convince her she's no longer your favourite picture

I'm an asset to this world or at least that's what I'm told, I could never figure it all out. Travelodge and chandeliers, trailer parks and mandolins, the kind of things that make me want to shout. That's what you get when you're old, beat up and stupid and stoned, that's what you get when you're cold living out on your own.

The Cyclist (free) 03:23
OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH You've got eyes that make my heart go still, you've got legs that unfortunately help pay the bills, you're an actress... at least that's what your job description says. In reality you're helping teenagers wet their beds. You're talented, I know! But you could be so much more. Get your wallet out of his bed, get your knees up off that floor. There's a stinging in my lungs, every night as I recall the 20,000 views, the thumping bed against the wall. It's times like this that make me wish that you were not a cyclist, riding all the bicycles that you find on the internet. I'm in love I can't get rid of this method which you attract the camera lens and ghoulish grins, I'm not sure I can handle that. Every night is the same story over and over again, "Baby you know it's only until I find a better agent!" At least there's no dishonesty, at least there's no deceit... I know exactly what she's up to, I've got a subscription fee. I'm trying not to punish her, I'm trying not to cry when I see the way they punish her, the way she spreads her thighs. I'm trying to be happy, I'm trying to see her side, but we're not short on money and she's running out of time... When I'm with you, and we're alone, and the lights are dim, and there's no one home, when I taste her scent, when I feel her breath, upon my neck, I can recollect the mannerisms to which I'm accustomed, the sweetness in which love had blossomed. It's short lived though, and the feeling goes when the room is lit up by the monitor's glow.

Silhouettes (free) 02:15
Girl I could make you mine with the subtle moves and the playful kind of silhouettes on my bedroom wall. You'll be happy once you push through the pain, through the guilt, through the shame of killing yourself for a better man, of killing yourself for a better man. And you, I know you're listening to a better song than this. Girl I could make you mine! I'm lying in bed at half past nine. A quarter the way through another song, a quarter the way through another song. I should warn you, I'm not trying, I should warn you, you're not worth crying. I should hold you, I'm still finding warmth beside you, never lying...
8.
Sexcore (free) 02:51
I don't want to be sexcore anymore, I lost all my bandages in the war, I don't want to be sexcore anymore. The open wounds left me dead, cold, tired, and sore. Your nursing wasn't enough, I turned to hate instead of love. I don't want to be sexcore anymore.

Was it the right thing to do? Was it the right thing to say? I couldn't help but admire the way they held their hands in a final act of romance. He left the headlights on so they could see the car from the aerial photos, it was strange enough. There's nothing left to be said, there's nothing left in my head, it was the way we all fancied them. That night I went into town to see an indie band, and I can't even remember the name. And though the bass was typically mixed too loud, it was the energy that made me insane. She was a pretty girl, the kind all the boys wanted to save, and she insisted she was ok, she was ok. They say it was the music or the sadness of humanity, but I know in my heart it was the way it was meant to be.

about

Welcome to "Cock Punches and Balloon Fights: Vol. II", We Broke This Town's debut album. It was recorded on July 6, 2011 (a Wednesday), straight through in one take. The only revisions that were made were the last track (because we fucked up) and the vocals on the last chorus on "The Cyclist". Everything else was recorded as you hear it. Only thing edited out was about 20 seconds of silence before Silhouettes, because we could not remember what song came next. The entire process of recording, mixing, and mastering took about 2 hours, including listening through the CD when needed.

Physical copies of this CD are available. Each copy has a different cover representing a different song on the album. On the inside of each there'll be an inlet containing the lyrics of said song as well as a couple of fun facts. If you'd like a physical copy, email webrokethistown@hotmail.com and we'll take it from there. You can see a bit of each cover by clicking on the songs on this page.

Thanks for listening. Check out our facebook page to keep updated on shows and the like.
